Viana do Castelo
In the Lima river mouth we find the city of Viana do Castelo, in a region whose occupation dates back to the Mesolithic. Viana do Castelo is a city with a typically relaxed lifestyle, where time takes on a greater value. Inside the ancient walls remains its historical centre, where we find the Cathedral, as well as several churches, which complement a fantastic cross of styles of buildings, passing through Renaissance, Manueline, Baroque and Art Deco.
Ponte de Lima
Ponte de Lima is the oldest town in Portugal, its charter being older than the country itself as an independent kingdom. The town was built around the first and main bridge over the Lima river, and developed in a peculiar and picturesque way.
Barcelos
This city is the origin of one of the greatest symbols of the nation, always present in all kinds of souvenirs, the Barcelos Cockerel. It is also one of the Portuguese cities with the largest and richest real estate heritage in the country and the city houses eleven monuments of national importance. Its medieval historic centre offers visitors a veritable journey back in time.
