Tour Description

Situated in Beira Interior, Bairrada is a region particularly characterised by its strong wine production, clearly distinguished by its sparkling wines. Another of the main attractions of this region is undoubtedly the gastronomy, which is based on roast suckling pig. It is also in this region that we find the famous Caramulo mountain range and Luso thermal springs, where two of Portugal’s main bottled water brands come from and where we find various thermal areas, famous for their medicinal properties. Still in the Bairrada region we find the Buçaco mountain range, where the Royal Palace is located, considered to be the last legacy of the Kings of Portugal. Another attractive point of the region is the Aliança Underground Museum, an exhibition space that allows the visitor to get to know the cellars and traditions behind Aliança Vinhos de Portugal.
